Sentence a Day is a K-6 program that explicitly teaches students to write a variety of sentence types using correct grammar and punctuation. Each week the students are engaged in daily sentence writing lessons that move from modelled, to guided, to independent activities that focus on specific features of grammar or punctuation. The program develops all students' abilities to identify and use grammar correctly in a systematic, cyclic and explicitly taught school-developed program.
